Darjeeling Tea And A Cure For Diarrhoea

The word alternative has four synonyms: alternate, choice, option, and substitute, according to my Word Web dictionary; but yesterday, this Darjeeling tea lover was forced to use the alternative form of medicine to cure my 5-year-old son’s loose motion.
Being Sunday, the homeopath, to which we attend to, was on leave. Though numerous allopathic medications could be had and were open that day, our little experience with allopathic medication, especially with regard to my son has been unfruitful, sometimes bitter, and mostly full of skepticism.
The mind races like the blue blazing lightning for solutions at such situations and so did it then which helped me recall an alternative therapy.

I had some samples of Soureni, an autumn flush Darjeeling tea leaves in my jar. After a quick simmering the water to a boil, I added a teaspoonful to slightly cooled water and steeped it for three minutes. The results were a dark cup of coppery orange.
The therapy prescribed that the tea to be taken has to be an unsweetened one in order to derive the maximum benefits.
How could a fidgety, choosy five-year-old drink that bitter concoction?
Until then, he had had made a good number of round the corner visits.
Adding a pinch of salt and two teaspoonfuls of sugar to it would not do any harm, I said to my self, and so it was done that way.
He relished the drink to the last drop and the relief was instantaneous.
Thanks for the lady who had mentioned it to me long time back. The homemade medication was a quick reliever, tasty, and natural.
This has prompted me to look for other quick relief medicative properties of teas and will be blogging about them in future blogs.

(P.S. Any tea with a strong enough liquor may be used as an alternative for Darjeeling Autumn Tea.)
