Which Darjeeling Tea To Buy

Given the situation that you have a wide variety of high quality teas like the Darjeeling tea to relish, (like that of a situation of, yours truly). As a Darjeeling tea lover, what does one sip in a typical day’s life?

Hmm. A couple of months ago, this question was posed to me, by one of my fellow Darjeeling Tea appreciator of teas bought from Darjeeling Tea Boutique, (H. Spencer from London), and to whom I had then promised to answer via my twitter handle @puredarjeeling, but the compactness necessity of Twitter has since then made me revert back to this blog.

Actually, I feel I’m spoilt for choice. When there are innumerous teas to be savoured, I for that matter seem to fall upon, those teas that were received well by all. (Naturally)

(This post is also titled,” Which Darjeeling tea to buy?”, in order that a new-to-Darjeeling-tea drinker too gets a good ideas as to what to expect of from the world’s best tea, the Darjeeling tea.) So here, it goes Mr. Spencer.

My morning urge tugs me towards my Muscatels for their strong Muscatel flavours. They seem to have such raw energy, which reflects in my approach to my morning schedule with that much power and gusto. Then (when the question was asked by Mr. Spencer) it was the Namring Second Flush 2012 Darjeeling Tea, which took center stage at the breakfast table. Now I seem to have a legion of choices, but Castleton Second Flush 2012 Muscatel Darjeeling Tea and Thurbo Second Flush 2012 Muscatel Darjeeling Tea seems to dominate the morning cups, though I seem to have a special liking for Namring Muscatels as well.

Organic green teas of Darjeeling have been having a regular date with my curvaceous cups lately. {I love my cups.(Puns not intended)} The position of the Sun or Moon in the sky never has been a factor for taking green teas. The health factors and fresh tastes of the greens of Darjeeling tea just seems to be powerful enough to take in the elixirs. Two to three cups in a day is a minimum for me. When? The answer to that is rather funny. I remember gulping ten cups at one go after a comment made by a close friend, about my bulging tummy. I wanted my greens to do wonders straight away.

(Please don’t try this. It doesn’t works ‘that’ quick.)

I’m currently enjoying the freshness and flavours of both the Dooteriah Royal Pearl Green Darjeeling Tea and the Dooteriah Organic Green Darjeeling Tea, and also that of Mim Green Darjeeling Tea got from second flush (2012).

Darjeeling first flush are globally most sought-after, for their rare & subtle blends of various fruity flavours. One needs to have a good olfactory bulb, to enjoy all the flavours at once. I feel I’m not that gifted and have discerned only a couple for a particular first flush Darjeeling tea. Currently enjoying a Dooteriah First Flush 2012 Darjeeling Tea and Thurbo First Flush 2012 Darjeeling Tea. Earlier this year, I had the privilege of feeling the heavenly bliss from the first flush teas of Gopaldhara and Badamtam. My appreciation was matched equally well by our first flush Darjeeling tea lovers, inasmuch as, the teas vanished in no time.

So with loose leaf Darjeeling teas in abundance in my cupboard, on an average, 6-8 cups are my daily intake provided no long lost friend passes a this-or-that comment.

;-O
